Teaching
Having been a teacher for almost 10 years before coming to UCSD, I'm dedicated to excellence in the classroom. In 2005, I was awarded a TA excellence award within the Linguistics Department at UCSD, and in 2007 was the recipient of the campus-wide Barbara J. and Paul D. Saltman Excellent Teaching Award.
Teaching at UCSD
This year I'm working at the UCSD Center for Teaching Development, where I observe and work with new TA's to enhance their teaching. I also teach an English class for international TA's, and offer occasional workshops on some aspect of effective teaching. In addition, I've TA'ed for a number of classes at UCSD, both in the Linguistics Language Program and within the Linguistics Department itself. Some of those classes include the following:
- LIGN 101 Intro to the Study of Language Fall 04 with Sharon Rose
- LIGN 111 Phonology Winter 05 with Eric Bakovic
- LIGN 119 1st and 2nd Lang Learning Winter 07 with Sharon Rose

- Spanish 1BX Winter 2004, Winter 2005
