About me

Welcome to my website! I am a PhD candidate in linguistics at UC San Diego.

Research interests: My primary research interest is exceptionality in phonology, both from a theoretical and typological perspective.

I also have a number of satellite interests. All things vocalic are exciting to me, and I have conducted research on hiatus resolution as well as vowel harmony (specifically ATR). My areal focus is languages of East and Central Africa. I have conducted extensive field work on Mushunguli, an endangered Somali Bantu language, and have also worked on Bari (Eastern Nilotic; South Sudan).

Please see research and/or CV for more information on my current and past projects.
