I'm primarily interested in computational and theoretical approaches to solving natural language understanding problems which focus on how meaning is affected by context.

Currently I'm working on my dissertation under the supervision of my advisor, Andy Kehler. My thesis uses computational modeling of annotated corpus data to explore constraints and preferences governing the lexical choice of a pronoun vs. full noun phrase in discourse.
