Outside of academia I enjoy playing soccer and basketball and following University of Washington athletics. I'm from Seattle and I don't drink coffee, which some people find odd, but rather prefer tea with mint or taro milk bubble tea (no ice, obviously). I like to eat and I'm trying to improve my limited cooking repertoire one failed recipe attempt at a time.
