Who am I?

I'm a second-year PhD student in the Linguistics program at the University of California, San Diego. I have always been interested in language and how language works. When I started learning languages I was just fascinated at how languages seem to 'grow' in your brain and what before was meaningless combinations of foreign sounds somehow becomes meaningful to you and you forget what it was like not to know that language.

Linguistics for me is a way to better understand that which makes us humans and separates us from the rest of the animal species. Language is a window to our brain and I hope with my research to open that window a little further.

I was born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina but did my undergraduate studies in Buenos Aires. Then I moved to Missoula, Montana where I did my Master's in Linguistics at The University of Montana. This experience has made me appreciate sunny San Diego so much more!
